About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center published a Special Notice soliciting proposals for the preparation and submission of a manuscript assessing the efficacy and safety of pharmaceuticals for long-duration space missions. The sole source contract will be awarded to Stantec Consulting Services to develop the manuscript framework, conduct two case studies of active pharmaceutical ingredients from NASA's formulary, draft and revise the manuscript, and submit it to a selected journal.
The Special Notice provides key details for the sole source contract with Stantec Consulting Services. The contractor will develop an assessment framework for evaluating potential active pharmaceutical ingredient degradant formation and associated health risks, then demonstrate its application through case studies of two diverse APIs. The contractor must draft the manuscript, incorporate existing introductory and discussion materials, revise the manuscript once in response to NASA feedback, submit it to a predetermined journal, and revise it once more based on journal reviewers' comments. The period of performance is seven months from award. Interested parties had until October 20, 2023 to submit capabilities statements for consideration to conduct the effort on a competitive basis instead of sole source.
