About this opportunity
NASA/AFRC has a requirement for the design, engineering, assembly, cabling, and hardware for a magni650 show motor, as well as a custom pedestal to support the motor and propellers. The agency intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire these services from magniX, as the original design is proprietary to that company. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email by May 13, 2024, and these will be evaluated solely to determine whether to conduct the acquisition on a competitive basis. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable, and the Center Ombudsman can be found at the provided link.
This acquisition is not set aside for any particular program. As the original design is proprietary to magniX, they are likely the current incumbent. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12, and there is no information provided about the award value or budget range for this procurement.
