About this opportunity
The 375 Contracting Squadron of the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking to procure twenty MA-1 Aviation Breathing Oxygen Regulators (National Stock Number 1660-00-782-4697) or suitable substitutes that connect to portable oxygen canisters to deliver oxygen to aircraft crew breathing apparatus, particularly on aircraft without independent oxygen systems. Interested vendors must submit capability statements by April 29, 2026, to Ms. Shawna Kuebler and Mr. Andrew Kleiser via email with the subject line containing the title and Notice ID. Vendors must provide their business name, points of contact, Cage Code, UEI, capability to deliver the specified quantity and part numbers, specification sheets demonstrating suitability, business size classification, and any applicable GSA or NASA SEWP contract numbers, with substitute offerings requiring detailed technical specifications proving equivalency. The government is contemplating a Firm Fixed Price contract structure under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and will use the submitted capability statements to develop its acquisition strategy internally. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and not an actual solicitation; vendors should not submit formal quotes in response, and the government will not reimburse response costs.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation, meaning all eligible vendors may compete regardless of business size or ownership status. No current contractor information or award value has been disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The requirement is for a specific quantity of twenty regulators, with the evaluation focused on vendors' technical capability to meet the exact specifications or provide acceptable substitutes that meet performance requirements. The brief response window of seven days from the posting date reflects the government's expedited acquisition timeline for this inventory need. Vendors meeting the capability statement requirements may be contacted for further discussions or invited to submit formal proposals once the government finalizes its acquisition strategy.
