About this opportunity

The Department of the Army has issued a Special Notice regarding the Medium Modular Equipment Transport Trailer (M-METT) program through Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal. This informational notice announces the government's interest in an unmanned ground system platform capable of autonomously managing operational energy, transporting critical supplies to mounted and dismounted units in hostile environments, and supporting casualty evacuations. The notice specifically states it is for informational purposes only and will not result in a contract award. The Department of the Army plans to release a Request for Information through the National Advanced Mobility Consortium. The Special Notice was posted on June 30, 2025, with a due date of July 22, 2025.

The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to provide advance notification to National Advanced Mobility Consortium members and general industry about the government's intent to issue a Request for Information for the M-METT system. Contractors interested in responding to the upcoming RFI must be members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium, as membership is a mandatory requirement for participation. The notice directs interested parties to visit the NAMC website at https://www.namconsortium.org/ for information about the consortium and membership requirements. The M-METT program represents the Army's initiative to develop autonomous ground-based logistics capabilities that can operate in contested environments while providing essential supply transport and casualty evacuation support. This advance notification allows potential contractors time to secure NAMC membership before the formal RFI release, ensuring they can participate in this defense logistics modernization effort.
