About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure LPAC (Lightweight Portable Air Compressor) technical services through a sole source acquisition. This service-type contract falls under the Ship Building and Repairing NAICS category and specifically relates to Non-Nuclear Ship Repair operations in the western region. The procurement will utilize Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Parts 12 and 13, with a Firm-Fixed Price contract structure and FOB Destination terms. Payment will be processed under NET30 terms, and while this is planned as a sole source procurement, the government retains discretion to compete the requirement based on responses to this pre-solicitation notice. The solicitation is expected to be posted on SAM.GOV on July 31, 2025, with an inconsistent proposal due date listed as July 6, 2025, and interested parties must submit their capability statements by July 31, 2025.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources. No incumbent contractors or potential vendors are specifically identified in the notice, nor are any award values or budget ranges disclosed. The procurement process requires offerors to monitor SAM.GOV independently for the solicitation and any amendments, as the government will not provide hard copies or accept telephone or fax requests. Electronic proposal submission is not currently available, though emailed completed solicitations will be accepted. The timeline appears compressed with both the pre-solicitation notice posting and initial due date occurring within a 24-hour period, though the actual solicitation posting and proposal submission process will follow standard procurement timelines.
