About this opportunity
U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a sole source contract to MAVIRUS GROUP, LLC for rental of an eight-station laundry trailer to support operations at the Los Angeles area. This Special Notice, published by the Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection on August 15, 2025, serves as a notice of intent rather than a competitive solicitation. The contract will provide laundry services for Immigration & Customs Enforcement personnel temporarily stationed at United States Coast Guard Terminal Island. CBP has determined that MAVIRUS GROUP is the only vendor capable of meeting the unique requirements, having already fabricated and installed necessary infrastructure at the location. The procurement falls under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for non-competitive acquisitions.
The primary purpose of this notice is to inform potential contractors of CBP's intent to proceed with a sole source award while providing an opportunity for other vendors to demonstrate their capabilities. Any vendors believing they can meet the requirements must submit their company capability information via email to Contract Specialist Christopher Shaw by August 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time. Eligible contractors must be able to provide eight commercial laundry stations, cleaning services, waste pumping, and restocking three times per week during the 60-day performance period from August 18 to October 17, 2025. Contractors must also comply with mandatory ICE background checks and employee clearances, work within specified hours of 0800-1600 Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays, and meet all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. CBP emphasizes that any determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses remains solely at the government's discretion.

This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any vendors who believe they can provide the services and can provide proof of ability to meet the requirements should email their company’s capabilities information to the attention of Christopher Shaw, Contract Specialist, by Monday, 21 August 2025 at 10:00 am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
