Notice text
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
The Mission Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to the Lodging Office, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, for the purchase lodging facilities for reserve and wounded soldiers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The announcement/solicitation number is W911S7-09-T-0072 and is posted at the following website address: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. The North American Industry classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 624229. For questions, contact Richard Brown, Contract Specialist, at (573) 596-0253, or email richard.a.brown@us.army.mil.
SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION:
The required bulk of the specifications are for usage by soldiers who have medical conditions that require easy access to the medical facilities on the installation at varying times. Transportation to and from on post medical facilities, and the use of military medical transport assets, limits the location of facilities for use. There are limitations on types of rooms based upon the medical conditions of the soldiers and these change with each soldier. Rooms utilized by reserve personnel require easy access to and from deployment and training facilities are varying locations, number of personnel, and times.
