About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is preparing to issue a solicitation for a price pending, subsumable long-term contract supporting various weapon systems and operational platforms. The contract will initially include 1,665 national stock numbers (NSNs), with the proposed action to be awarded on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Corporation. The government intends to issue a letter request for proposal (RFP) on May 16, 2025, with responses due by June 16, 2025. Only vendors with direct access to the required data or ability to provide traceability to approved sources are eligible to bid. Surplus dealers are also invited to respond, provided they submit a completed surplus certificate or adequate documentation demonstrating product acceptability.

The contract will have a total performance period of 10 years, consisting of one five-year base period and one five-year option period. It will be subsumable to the existing Lockheed Martin Captains of Industry (COI) contract SPE4AX-22-D-9000. The procurement covers cable, cord, and wire assemblies for communication equipment, with freight-on-board point and inspection occurring at origin. While no specific award value is mentioned, the extensive number of NSNs suggests a potentially significant contract scope. The government reserves the right to alter the acquisition strategy if purchasing existing surplus or newly manufactured inventory proves more advantageous. Non-original equipment manufacturers interested in the NSNs are required to notify the contracting officer before the synopsis closing date and provide evidence of their ability to supply items throughout the contract period.
