About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring 300 Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 6.0 Ah batteries (Part Number BL1860B) through solicitation N0040625QS407. This is a brand name requirement specifically for Makita batteries, restricting responses to Makita or their authorized distributors only. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a specification sheet with their submission. The government will evaluate offers based on technical factors, delivery date, price, and past performance with no specific order of importance stated. The solicitation closes on September 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, with quotes required to be submitted by that deadline.
This procurement is set aside as a 100% Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) opportunity under NAICS code 335910 with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The batteries are classified as hazardous materials and will initially ship to the DLA HAZMAT Warehouse in Tracy, California before final delivery to Yokosuka, Japan. The original delivery deadline was specified as August 27, 2025, though this appears to conflict with the September quote deadline. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed price arrangement with payment processed through Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF), placing maximum risk on the contractor. All shipping will be FOB Destination with the contractor responsible for coordinating hazardous material shipping requirements through Tracy, California.
