About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center has issued a Special Notice requesting information from original equipment manufacturers regarding a liquid nitrogen pump system for the High Pressure Gas Facility at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Posted on January 6, 2026, with a response deadline of January 16, 2026, this Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify qualified OEMs capable of supplying a commercial off-the-shelf, skid-mounted positive displacement pump system. The notice specifically targets equipment manufacturers rather than general contractors or engineering firms, as the Government will handle installation and integration of the equipment into existing systems. The pump system is classified under NAICS 333914 (Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 4320 (Power and Hand Pumps).
The primary objective is to procure a turnkey liquid nitrogen pump system with a flow capacity of 40 US GPM at 4000 psi discharge pressure, featuring VFD-driven electric motor technology and positive displacement pump technology to minimize boil-off losses. Responding OEMs must be original equipment manufacturers capable of providing fabrication, factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, operator training, and complete documentation as part of their scope. The system must be skid-mounted with hot-dip galvanized structural steel construction, designed for exterior installation at sea level within the specified temperature ranges found in coastal Mississippi. Interested manufacturers should submit company profiles including UEI and business size classification, detailed technical specifications of their proposed system, conceptual diagrams, and utility requirement information by the January 16, 2026 deadline. There are no set-asides applied to this opportunity, making it open to all qualified OEM manufacturers meeting the stated eligibility criteria.

Request for Information (RFI)
Title: Liquid Nitrogen Pump System – OEM Equipment Manufacturer Inquiry
Location: Building 3305, High Pressure Gas Facility, Stennis Space Center, MS 39529
1. Purpose
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to identify qualified original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) capable of supplying a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), skid-mounted positive displacement pump system for liquid nitrogen service. The Government is seeking equipment manufacturers only—not general contractors or engineering firms—who can provide the equipment only. The equipment will be installed by the Government.
The pump system will be integrated into an existing liquid nitrogen and must be compatible with standard industry transfer connections and designed to operate reliably in outdoor environments.
2. System Requirements

- Flow Rate: 40 US GPM
- Discharge Pressure: 4000 psi
- Suction Pressure: 50 psi
- Net Positive Suction Pressure Required (NPSPR): 10 psi
2.2 Technology
- Positive displacement pump
- Technology to minimize boil-off gas losses
- Electric drive VFD-driven motor
2.3 Design & Footprint
- Skid-mounted, fabricated from structural steel
