About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a specific inner liner component (NSN 7H-2840-010392072-A1) with a quantity of 1 unit. The procurement is being conducted under a non-competitive approach authorized by FAR 6.302-1, indicating the government intends to negotiate with a single source. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals, capability statements, or quotations within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase the data rights or reverse engineer the part, which limits potential competitive bidding. Evaluation will be at the government's discretion, with proposals considered solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractor is mentioned. The delivery is specified as FOB Origin, with technical data package (TDP) version 008 governing the specifications. The acquisition may be subject to Free Trade Agreements, potentially involving DFARS clauses related to Buy American Act and trade regulations. While no specific award value is provided, the procurement is for a single unit of an inner liner in the Gas Turbines and Jet Engines component category. Potential offerors can obtain necessary technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point, with most documents available in PDF format via ASSIST-Online or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk in Philadelphia, PA.
