About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for lightweight ammunition ranging from 5.56 to .50 caliber. The RFI seeks industry input, including a 30-minute briefing and live-fire demonstration, to assess market capabilities for these requirements. Vendors must have the capability to produce the items they intend to brief/demonstrate and be able to access a Marine Corps base. Responses are due by 12:00 p.m. EST on May 1, 2024, and should be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist. The USMC may use the information received to inform future requirements, and vendors are responsible for marking any proprietary information accordingly.

This RFI is not set aside for any specific business category. The USMC is not interested in lightweight 9mm ammunition at this time. The pre-solicitation notice does not provide any information about potential incumbents or current contractors, award values, budget ranges, or specific quantities of goods or timeline for services.
