About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) spares for the P8 aircraft, specifically light, taxiing aircraft components. This solicitation is focused on obtaining Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certified parts with an FAA Authorized Released Certificate (FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag). The procurement will use competitive procedures to select a contractor, with evaluation criteria centered on technical acceptability, delivery capabilities, and overall advantage to the government. Quotes must be submitted electronically to christina.m.foley5.civ@us.navy.mil by 4:30 PM Eastern Time on March 21, 2025. Contractors are permitted to submit quotes for less than the solicited quantity if they have the specified items in stock.
This solicitation is designated as a small business set-aside, meaning only small business suppliers are eligible to compete for the contract. While specific award values are not detailed, the procurement involves motor vehicle electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing within the NAICS 336320 category, specifically electric vehicular lights and fixtures (PSC 6220). The Navy will accept early and incremental deliveries, and contractors must provide notification of any proposed changes affecting interchangeability, performance, weight, safety, reliability, or FAA type certification. Contractors will be required to make available commercially available change documentation such as Service Bulletins or Original Equipment Manufacturer Product Line Change Notifications. The contract terms indicate flexibility in contractual document transmission, including mail, facsimile, and electronic commerce methods.
