About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the procurement of light assembly components, specifically National Stock Number (NSN) 6220-01-312-9277, classified under PSC Category 6220 (Electric Vehicular Lights and Fixtures) and NAICS code 335129. This pre-solicitation notice is a source sought synopsis intended to assess market capacity and capability rather than a formal solicitation for proposals. Interested organizations must submit capability statements by April 10, 2026, demonstrating their organizational and technical resources, financial capacity, and project management capabilities. The government will evaluate submissions to determine market capacity for providing services consistent with the scope and scale of the requirement, securing necessary corporate resources, and implementing successful project management plans that address program schedules, cost containment, and performance tracking. Organizations should note that this market research is voluntary and non-binding, with no financial responsibility assumed by the government for any costs incurred in responding.
This procurement does not utilize a set-aside designation. Two potential incumbent sources have been identified: Lawrence Technologies (CAGE 0DPV2), providing part number 201800, and Grimes Aerospace (CAGE 72914), providing part number 51-0476-3. The pre-solicitation notice does not specify a contract award value or budget range, as this is a market research phase intended to determine the appropriate procurement methodology. Respondents anticipating significant subcontracting or teaming arrangements should provide detailed information regarding the administrative and management structure of these partnerships. Interested parties must submit organizational information including company name, address, contact details, ownership structure, and tailored capability statements with supporting documentation by the April 10, 2026 deadline.
