About this opportunity
The Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is conducting market research to identify small business firms capable of providing rental equipment with operators for levee maintenance and repair across five Washington State river basins by October 1, 2026; this is a sources-sought notice, not a solicitation, and no award will be made from this announcement.
Work spans the Nooksack, Skagit, Snoqualmie, Cedar, and Green river basins, with potential repairs needed on as many as 14 levees before the fall flood season. The Government seeks equipment rental with operators, including dozers (85–165 HP, 18,000–35,000 lbs), dump trucks (Class V, up to 250 HP, up to 34,000 lbs), hydraulic excavators with hydraulic thumb (45–270 HP, 9,500–80,000 lbs, reach 18–34 ft), motor graders (135 HP, 35,000 lbs, 12 ft blade), road sweepers (minimum 150-gallon water system), steel road crossing plates (8' × 10' to 8' × 20', at least 1" thick), truck and trailers (minimum 98,000 lbs GVW), vibratory compactors (100 HP, 15,000 lbs, drum at least 66"), and water trucks (2,000–2,500 gallon capacity).
The procurement is designated total small business set-aside. NAICS code 238910 applies; the corresponding small business size standard is not stated in the notice. Respondents concerned that the October 1 completion target is unrealistic are encouraged to provide specific information regarding equipment lead times or other timeline constraints.
Responses due May 28, 2026.
