About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking to lease or rent two Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles for Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. The solicitation requires one vehicle with 1,500-gallon water capacity and another with 1,000-gallon water capacity, both equipped with 4x4 chassis, diesel 8-cylinder engines, approximately 200-gallon foam capacity, 1,520 gpm water pumps, 500-pound Purple K dry chemical tanks, and NFPA-compliant lights and sirens. The vehicles must be compatible with F3 foam and include comprehensive annual maintenance packages according to FAA and NFPA standards. Solicitation Amendment 1 updated the requirements and attached revised questions and answers documentation. Proposals are due by September 3, 2025, with delivery required no later than October 1, 2025.

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside and operates under NAICS code 532490 for commercial and industrial machinery rental and leasing. The contract structure follows a Base +4 years period of performance, and documentation indicates there is an existing contract (FA302224P0028) with an incumbent contractor, suggesting this may be a recompete situation. The contractor must provide all necessary management, labor, equipment, and transportation services for the lease arrangement, with one vehicle specifically being the current 1,500-gallon ARFF vehicle already in use. Performance will take place at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, where the contractor must comply with Air Force security requirements and base entry procedures as outlined in the contract clauses.
