About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Omaha seeks to lease approximately 772 square feet of retail or office space in Laramie, Wyoming, with the solicitation posted on March 17, 2026, and proposals due by March 31, 2026. The Government's current lease for office and related space in Laramie is expiring and the agency is evaluating alternative space options to determine if other locations would be more economically advantageous. The Government will evaluate proposed space based on availability, ability to meet operational requirements, inclusion of janitorial services in the lease terms, and costs associated with relocation activities such as physical move expenses, tenant improvement replication, telecommunications infrastructure setup, and potential agency downtime during transition. The solicitation does not utilize any small business or socioeconomic set-aside designations, meaning this opportunity is open to all qualified private sector lessors. Prospective bidders should note that the Government's evaluation will carefully weigh the total cost of ownership rather than simply focusing on lease rate, incorporating significant transition costs into the overall financial analysis.
No set-aside designations apply to this lease opportunity, and no incumbent contractor or current lease holder information has been disclosed in the solicitation notice. The solicitation does not specify an award value or budget range for the lease term, though the Government's evaluation criteria indicate a focus on balancing lease costs against relocation expenses and operational continuity. The required space is 772 square feet of retail or office space, representing a relatively modest footprint suitable for a regional Army Corps of Engineers office or administrative function. The place of performance is Laramie, Wyoming, where the Government will occupy the leased space for its ongoing operations. Interested lessors should prepare proposals that address not only competitive rental rates but also the total value proposition including janitorial services and minimal disruption to Government operations during any transition from the current facility.
Notice text
The US Government currently occupies office and related space in a building under lease in Laramie, Wyoming, that will be expiring. The Government is considering alternate space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, janitorial services provided in the lease, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
