About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Omaha is seeking a lease for 360 square feet of office space in Chamberlain, South Dakota to replace an expiring current lease. The primary objective is to determine if an alternate space can be economically advantageous, with careful consideration of multiple factors including relocation costs, janitorial services, tenant improvements, and potential telecommunications infrastructure requirements. The government will evaluate potential lease options by comprehensively analyzing the total economic impact of maintaining or changing their current office location. Key evaluation criteria will include cost-effectiveness, space functionality, and minimizing agency downtime during potential relocation. The solicitation was posted on February 28, 2025, with proposal responses due by March 5, 2025, providing a relatively short window for potential lessors to submit their offerings.

The place of performance is specifically located in Chamberlain, SD 57325, with the contract focused on securing office space that meets the agency's operational requirements. While no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the solicitation, the government's emphasis on economic evaluation suggests cost will be a significant factor in the selection process.
