About this opportunity
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Johnson, Louisiana has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a short-term sole source contract for laundry services to The ARC of Caddo-Bossier Doing Business as Frost Industries. The contract will provide weekly laundry services for cleaning textiles, garments, linens, and other fabrics for Active and Reserve components, supporting organizational health, sanitation, and meal preparation attire requirements. The procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, with a specific focus on a single source being reasonably available. The applicable NAICS code is 812320 for Drycleaning and Laundry Services, with a size standard of $8,000,000. AbilityOne has granted an exception to Fort Johnson to compete commercially and has identified ARC of Caddo-Bossier as their capable vendor for these services.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide an opportunity for potential contractors to demonstrate their capability to meet the laundry service requirements if they believe they can compete with the intended sole source vendor. Contractors interested in being considered must submit detailed information about their products, services, and customer references to the Contracting Officer, Tamera Butler, via email within five calendar days of the notice's publication. The government will review any responses received, but retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement. The estimated performance period for this contract is from January 1 through March 31, 2025, covering laundry services for multiple locations including the Central Issue Facility, Warrior Club, In/Out Processing Center, and 1-509th Infantry Regiment. If no responsive submissions are received, MICC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with ARC of Caddo-Bossier Doing Business as Frost Industries.
