About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, through the 633d Contracting Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, is procuring a replacement pump for a P-23 Aircraft Crash Recovery Vehicle. Specifically, the government seeks a Waterous CPK-5 pump (Part Number CPK-5) to replace an existing pump that was manufactured in February 2017 with serial number 159402. The contract will be awarded based on oral quotation procedures, with the government planning to install the part internally and requiring no services from the prospective contractor. Interested small businesses must contact AnnMarie Shields, the contracting officer, no later than November 21, 2025 at 1600 hours to submit their oral quote. The anticipated award date is November 24, 2025, and delivery is required within 15 days after receipt of order (ARO).

This procurement is designated as a 100 percent small business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small businesses. The current equipment specifications indicate the replacement pump must have a capacity of 320 GPM, rated pressure of 2,026 PSIG, and maximum allowable pressure of 1,350 PSIG, matching the existing Waterous pump. The government will likely support this requirement with a brand-name justification for Waterous products, effectively making this a sole-source procurement from the incumbent manufacturer. Only one pump (quantity of 1) is required for this contract. The entire contract period, from award to delivery, spans 15 days ARO, indicating an expedited procurement timeline with minimal contract duration.
