About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure landing gear components through a sole source requirement. This pre-solicitation notice indicates a specific need for aircraft landing gear, with a quantity of one unit being sought. The opportunity is subject to Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement, which introduces specific regulatory considerations. Potential vendors must be aware that government source approval is mandatory prior to award, and must submit comprehensive documentation as outlined in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure. Vendors must provide all required data with their proposal, or risk being disqualified from consideration. The pre-solicitation was posted on May 12, 2025, with a response deadline of May 27, 2025, and interested parties can contact Marisa Tetkowski at marisa.tetkowski@navy.mil for additional information.

The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation, suggesting it is open to a broad range of potential contractors. While the notice indicates a sole source requirement, suggesting a potential incumbent contractor, specific details about the current source are not provided. The contract appears to be specialized, focusing on a single aircraft landing gear component within the PSC Category 1620-P for Aircraft Landing Gear Components. The government has determined that it lacks sufficient, accurate, or legible data to contract with any provider other than the current source. The contract will be considered bilaterally agreed upon when the government deposits the documentation in the mail, transmits by facsimile, or sends it through electronic commerce methods, including email. The procurement process emphasizes strict compliance with documentation requirements and adherence to international trade agreements.
