Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Laboratory Equipment - Ventana Discovery Ultra Automated Staining Platform
Description(s):

The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., 1910 E. Innovation Park Drive, Tucson, AR 85756, for the following piece of laboratory equipment - Ventana Discovery Ultra Automated Staining Platform, which will be installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The provided equipment is proprietary.


The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1,000 employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., is the only known provider of suck equipment that will satisfy the agency's requirements.


The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain Laboratory Equipment - Ventana Discovery Ultra, a fully automated staining instrument which can perform routine and development IHC projectsm, RNAscope Assays, multiplex chromogen INC Assays, and immunofluorscene assays. Investigators are requiring multiplex chromogen IHC stains and RNAscope assays in addition to IHC abd IF assays and no other instrument all of these options.


This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due by 1:00PM ET on July 30, 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
