NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD PROCUREMENT: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate is informing interested parties of DHS's intent to modify purchase order (HSHQDC-11-P-00091) awarded to PAL Environmental Services on August 12, 2011 to clean and dispose of residual lead and heavy metal contaminated settled dust all horizontal surfaces, duck work fixtures and door jams above 6 feet. This environmental remediation firm will institute the following cleanup procedures: High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor (HEPA) vacuum flooring material, cleaning all interior horizontal and accessible surfaces (above 6 feet), and analytical testing of rinseate and waste stream components via EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Toxicity Characteristics Leaching Procedure (TCLP) to determine the presence of heavy metals for characterization purposes. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of all waste generated in accordance with federal regulations. The additional tasks are within the scope of work of the current contract. The DHS intends to add an additional $59,000 to the purchase order for a total of $120,000.
The total value of this intended award is less then the simplified acquisition threshold.
