About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to solicit two complete direct-space humidification systems for laboratory spaces via a request for quotation (RFQ 75D301-26-Q-79242) with quotations due September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. This acquisition is set aside for total small business.
Delivery is required within ten business days after award to the CDC Distribution Center at 3719 North Peachtree Road, Chamblee, Georgia 30341-2221, F.O.B. Destination. Partial deliveries are permitted.
System 1 comprises four ES100-2 Direct Space Humidifiers with supporting components (air filter set, pipe and fittings kits, intelligent controller, control center, humidity sensor, and water filtration system). System 2 requires six ES100-2 humidifiers with a larger-capacity air filter set (2500 L/min versus 900 L/min) and identical control components. Materials and components only are required; installation, air compressors, control wiring, and utility connections are excluded. Smart Fog equipment is identified as the basis of design; technically acceptable equal products will be considered.
Performance specifications include infusing 19 gallons per hour of ultra-pure water with approximately 99 percent salt rejection, producing approximately 4.2 micron droplets, operating temperatures of 45–180 degrees Fahrenheit, water pressure requirement of 10 psi, compressed air requirement of 4 CFM at 100 psi, and energy consumption of 0.4 kilowatts at maximum capacity. A 12-month warranty is required.
Award will be made using a best-value tradeoff based on technical capability and price, with technical capability significantly more important than price. The government intends to issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order. Submit quotations to Ruben Reyes Colon, Contract Specialist, at qmz3@cdc.gov.
