About this opportunity
The 22nd Contracting Squadron of the Air Force Air Mobility Command at McConnell Air Force Base is conducting market research through a sources sought announcement to identify qualified vendors capable of providing one Cable Kit HP75, part number 488506. This procurement is needed by the 22nd Civil Engineering Squadron to replace a damaged cable that has rendered a ladder inoperable and reduced the fire department's operational engine fleet capacity. The requirement includes all necessary installation items and the contractor must provide delivery within 30 calendar days of order receipt along with a minimum one-year warranty covering replacement of any non-government-caused defects at no cost to the government. This is strictly a sources sought notice for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment by the government. Interested parties must submit their responses by August 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM CDT, and are specifically instructed not to include pricing information in their submissions.
This procurement opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, limiting participation to qualifying small business entities. The requirement is for a single unit (1 EA) of the Cable Kit HP75 with the specific part number 488506, indicating this is likely a specialized component for fire department equipment. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the documentation, suggesting this may be a new requirement or replacement procurement. The government has not disclosed any budget ranges or potential award values, consistent with the sources sought format that focuses on capability assessment rather than pricing evaluation. The 30-day delivery requirement indicates an urgent operational need, while the one-year warranty requirement demonstrates the government's expectation for reliable, durable equipment to support critical fire department operations.
