About this opportunity

The Limited / Sole Source Justification Notice is for the relocation of 28 Kodak Alaris model I5250 scanners on behalf of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Service Center Operations Directorate (SCOPS). The justification explains that Kodak Alaris, Inc. is the only vendor capable of relocating the scanners and providing the proprietary packing kits to prevent damage in transit, in order to avoid voiding the existing maintenance warranties. The scanners are being relocated from California and Vermont to Texas and Nebraska to support USCIS's digitization efforts. The anticipated price of the Firm-Fixed-Price open market sole source purchase order is $44,032.50.

Notice text

USCIS, SCOPS required a contracted means of transportation/relocation and contracted labor support in moving Kodak Alaris I5250 scanners from their location(s) in Laguna Niguel (California) and Essex Junction (Vermont) to their new location(s) in Irving (Texas) as well as Lincoln (Nebraska). This is due to the reorganization of workloads that has files for adjudication being predominantly scanned in the Texas and Nebraska office locations. These scanners will need to be moved to increase Texas and Nebraska’s scanning capabilities.

Awarded contract 70SBUR24P00000017 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2024-03-28.
