About this opportunity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Goddard Space Flight Center issued a justification for other than full and open competition to award a sole-source contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation for James Webb Space Telescope Phase E Operations and Sustainment from January 2023 through December 2027. The contract will provide engineering support, software maintenance, ground systems operations, and other products and services required to sustain the observatory in orbit. As the designer and developer of key spacecraft components, Northrop Grumman has unique expertise operating similar systems and is therefore considered the only responsible source able to fulfill agency needs. The total contract value is estimated based on the government cost estimate.
