About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps published a justification and approval for the use of other than full and open competition to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. The contract provides transitional development and sustaining engineering services for the G/ATOR radar system, including software support activity transition, ground weapons locating radar performance improvements, and low/slow/small target development. As the original developer of the proprietary technical data and software for the system, Northrop Grumman is considered the only qualified source able to perform the support services without extensive reengineering due to restricted rights in the data. The sole source contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman on July 13, 2020 for an undisclosed amount to provide critical short-term support for fielded G/ATOR systems.
