This solicitation will be for local vendors only who meet Italian certification requirements for this type of work.
The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor and transportation, necessary to ensure that Jump Tower Maintenance services are performed at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy.
Contractor shall provide maintenance and safety certification of the Geronimo jump tower located at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy on a semi-annual schedule IAW Italian Law 626, dated 10 September 2004 and Italian law 494, dated 14 August 1996.
Basic Services. The contractor shall provide maintenance and safety certification on Geronimo jump tower located at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy on a semi-annual schedule IAW Italian Law 626, dated 10 September 2004, and Italian Law 494, dated 14 August 1996.
Tasks will include but not be limited to the following:
Cleaning and greasing of all trolleys and cables and all wind-bracing cables
Stretching of all eight (8) cables based on temperature releases
Final test on each cable with different weights and speeds (three Soldiers), including mass launch on all eight (8) cables (8 Solders)
Release of a new safety certification IAW Italian laws 626 and 494 after each maintenance session
Repair of Geronimo Jump Tower and associated parts as necessary
Specific task, one time performance: The contractor must provide a detailed inspection of each cable (8 total) using a special magneto scope device which will analyze all cables threads and indicate eventual points of repair and re-threading.
Other services in accordance with performance work statement that will be provided at time of issue of request for proposal
This procurement is unrestricted (full and open competition). The projected period of performance will consist of one (1) basic period from 01 August 2014 through 30 July 2015, plus two (2) option year periods starting 01 August 2015 through 30 July 2017. Confirmed dates and additional information will be provided in the RFP.
The Government intends to award one firm-fixed price contract and will be awarded using FAR Part 13 procedures. The anticipated issue date for the Request for Proposal (RFP) in on or about 16 June 2014, with the anticipated date for receipt of quotes on or about 16 July 2014. The Government plans to use the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of documentation will not be made available.
