About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management's Utah State Office has issued a Special Notice for a sole-source purchase order for noxious weed treatments in Juab County, Utah. The notice specifically involves awarding a contract to the Juab County Weed Department for invasive weed control services on public lands. The procurement will be a firm fixed price contract with a base year and four option years, falling under NAICS code 561730 for weed control services. The total estimated contract value is $200,000, and the procurement will be conducted under simplified acquisition procedures outlined in FAR 13.106-1. The contract is intended to leverage the county's local expertise in managing weed treatments across multi-jurisdictional boundaries.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to allow the Bureau of Land Management to work directly with Juab County to manage noxious weed treatments on approximately 300+ acres of public lands. Interested contractors are invited to submit written information describing their ability to provide similar services by May 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time. While the notice indicates a sole-source intent, the government will review any submissions to potentially reconsider a competitive procurement. Eligibility for participation appears open to contractors capable of demonstrating comparable weed control capabilities. The anticipated contract award date is June 1, 2025, and the government retains full discretion in determining whether to proceed with the sole-source award or consider alternative providers. Contractors seeking more information are directed to contact Jessilyn Sanborn at jsanborn@blm.gov.
