AMENDMENT
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response due date to Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 5PM (Pacific) for the JPL Exoplanet Technology Request for Information, Solicitation YT-18-04..

Update #2 ·

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is an operating division of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and staffed with Caltech employees. JPL is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) under the sponsorship of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). As a member of the NASA family JPL is recognized as the agency's only FFRDC.

JPL is interested in starshade technology. Additionally, JPL seeks potential contractors to provide starshade technology and to determine if potential contractors are capable of meeting JPL's technical requirements as noted in Exhibit I - Exoplanet Technology dated 07/23/18. The Laboratory would like to identify if your company has technologies similar to those described in Exhibit 1 and your interest in maturing the technology further.

RESPONSE DUE

Please submit your response no later than 5PM (Pacific) on Thursday, August 16, 2018 and any applicable information (i.e., technical, ROM, schedule, etc.) to Subcontracts Manager Yuriy Tsurkan at (818) 393-8052 or email Yuriy.Tsurkan@jpl.nasa.gov

Your response should address technical, schedule, cost, and risk information. By responding to this RFI, your company may influence the architecture of a potential, future Request for Proposal (RFP) for a procurement to support S5.

DISCLAIMER

It is emphasized that the requested information is for preliminary planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that JPL will solicit you for such procurement in the future. Neither JPL nor the Government will be responsible for any costs incurred by you in the furnishing this information. Prospective contractors are advised that any information provided shall be deemed to be furnished with unlimited rights to JPL, with JPL assuming no liability for the disclosure, use, or reproduction of such data. There is also no guarantee that S5 would proceed with the activities described above.
