About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command has issued a Special Notice for the Joint Prototyping and Experimentation Maritime (JPEM) Program's Counter Unmanned Underwater Vehicle / Unmanned Surface Vehicle (UUV/USV) Capability Discovery (CD) event. The event will be held in late July to early August 2024 at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD.
The purpose of this event is to validate emerging counter UUV/USV technologies from industry, government labs, and academia. Key requirements include automatic detection of threat UUVs (4-8 ft) and USVs (12-30 ft), ability to detect and track multiple heterogeneous threats, and real-time processing and display of detection, tracking and identification information. Interested parties must submit an application and quad chart by 5:00 PM EDT on May 24, 2024. The government will review submissions based on relevance, technical maturity, and alignment with operational needs, and will select participants through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) arrangement. No contract awards will be made based solely on this RFI.
