About this opportunity

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has issued a Special Notice for Joint Planning and Execution Services Legacy Software Sustainment and Maintenance Lab Support. The notice pertains to a contract modification for technical support of the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Joint Capabilities Requirements (JCRM). Currently utilizing two separate contractors for development and lab integration, DISA seeks to consolidate these services under a single provider. The opportunity is categorized under Computer Systems Design Services (NAICS 541512) and focuses on system administration, integration, documentation, and general support for critical defense planning systems. The contract opportunity was posted on January 13, 2025, with a response deadline of January 21, 2025.

The primary objective of this modification is to ensure continuity of services for the JPES Program Management Office, maintaining availability, stability, and interoperability of complex defense planning systems. InterImage, Inc. has been identified as the sole-source contractor due to their unique qualifications in supporting legacy hardware and software systems, including Solaris 10, Oracle 11g, and specialized protocols. Market research conducted in December 2024 confirmed that while six of ten potential respondents could perform some requirements, only InterImage possessed the critical capabilities needed for this specific support. The contract modification will cover the period from March 2024 through September 2025, supporting system sustainment until the JOPES system is sunset in calendar year 2026. Contractors interested in this opportunity should carefully review the detailed requirements, which include system administration, integration, maintenance, and sustainment support in the DISA Headquarters Laboratory for staging, integration, and testing.
