About this opportunity
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is procuring one John Deere Medical Vehicle, MACH-3/XUV845M, specifically designed for medical emergencies during Special Agent Basic Training at their National Academy. This specialized vehicle must meet detailed technical specifications including a John Deere XUV845M base chassis, power steering, gas engine, military-grade aluminum fixed bed, heavy-duty suspension, specialized lighting package, and Camso tracks. The procurement is structured as a combined synopsis/solicitation Request for Quote (RFQ) under solicitation number 15A00025Q00000068, with vendors required to be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of quotation submission. The government will evaluate offers using the lowest price technically acceptable methodology, awarding to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government. All questions must be submitted via email to Steven Jaimes by 1100 EST on June 16, 2025, with quotes due by June 19, 2025.
This procurement is designated as a 100% total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336110 (Automobile and Light Duty Motor Vehicle Manufacturing) with a size standard of 500 employees. The contract requires delivery of the single medical vehicle within 150 days from the date of award, with the place of performance being the ATF National Academy located at 1131 Chapel Crossing Road, Building 681 in Glynco, Georgia 31524. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the solicitation documents, the procurement involves a single, highly specialized medical vehicle with custom features and military-grade components. The government files include technical requirements, standard form documents, and a questions and answers spreadsheet that confirms ATF's rejection of alternative vehicles such as electric ambulances, emphasizing adherence to the specific John Deere model requirements. No incumbent contractors or previous award values are mentioned in the available documentation.
