About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Headquarters District Washington has issued a Special Notice for Supplemental Litigation Support Services for the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAGC). This Special Notice is a Request for Information (RFI) seeking to identify potential vendors, both large and small businesses, with the experience and capabilities to provide professional legal support services for a wide range of legal proceedings.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather information and engage industry to identify risks, opportunities, and insights related to the potential acquisition of these litigation support services. The government has attached a draft Performance Work Statement detailing the scope of work, which includes document and data collection, processing, coding, hosting, managed review, and trial support services. Interested parties are encouraged to submit capability statements by June 12, 2024, addressing their qualifications to meet the requirements. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposals or a commitment to issue one in the future.
Notice text
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Vendors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP that may be issued.
One objective of this RFI is to identify potential vendors (large, small, and socioeconomic concerns) who have the experience and capabilities to successfully perform this work. Vendors are also encouraged to provide information regarding plans to use joint venturing (JV), partnering or consortiums to meet the requirements areas contained herein. Details pertaining to the entire scope of work are contained in the attached Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS).
A second objective is to engage industry to identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations and other insights as it pertains to the acquisition and the work contemplated in the PWS.
Additionally, if an RFP is subsequently issued, the Government anticipates a compressed response cycle; therefore, this RFI will provide advanced delivery of the attached Draft PWS, which should allow qualified vendors the necessary time to consider a potential RFP response/proposal and to build necessary teaming relationships.
This contract action is to provide professional legal support services for the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAGC) for the Department of the Air Force (Air Force). Professional legal support encompasses a wide range of professional services and products that help attorneys collect, organize, review, analyze, and produce information for litigations, arbitrations, investigations, Congressional inquiries, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and other legal proceedings. The professional legal support shall span all stages of a matter, from pre-filing investigation and early case assessment (ECA), through complaint, discovery, trial, and the appeals process.
