About this opportunity

The Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued a Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity to extend the performance period of a task order to the Health Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) contract. CMS is seeking to complete a rapid assessment and implementation strategy for optimizing the OIT enterprise cloud hosting services and standing up a customer-focused "fusion team" capability. The task order is valued at $30,913,923 and is in the last option period. CMS is citing the unique qualifications and capabilities of the Health FFRDC as the basis for the sole-source extension, which is necessary to satisfy the urgent and sensitive requirements of the Office of the Administrator. No additional funding is required, and there are no plans for follow-on requirements. The Contracting Officer has determined this represents the best value for the Government.
