About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 17 intends to negotiate a sole source firm fixed-price contract with Parata Systems of Durham, North Carolina for Parata ATP2 services to support the Clinical Section of the VA North Texas Health Care System. This procurement falls under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for soliciting from a single source. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and must be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller to ensure proper warranty and service support. While this is designated as a sole source procurement, the VA will consider capability statements, proposals, or quotations from other contractors to determine whether to proceed with sole source or open competition. All responses must be submitted by July 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST via email to Frank Mendoza at Francisco.mendoza@va.gov, and will be evaluated based on the contractor's demonstrated capabilities and experience to support the VA's requirements.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors, though Parata Systems is identified as the intended sole source vendor. The contract structure includes a base period plus four option years, suggesting a multi-year service arrangement for ongoing maintenance and support of medical equipment. No specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in the notice, and quantities of services are not specified beyond the general requirement to support the VA North Texas Health Care System's Clinical Section. The timeline emphasizes immediate action with only a five-day response window from the July 11, 2025 posting date to the July 16, 2025 deadline. The procurement focuses on ongoing service and maintenance rather than equipment acquisition, indicating this is likely a continuation or replacement of existing support services for specialized medical equipment already in use at the facility.
