About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 23, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed contract to Minnesota Medical Specialist for maintenance services on two Tuttnauer Autoclave Sterilizers located at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. The contract will be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source, as Tuttnauer does not have another authorized third-party service provider in the region to perform the required semi-annual preventive maintenance services by a factory-trained technician.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the VA's intent to award this sole source contract to Minnesota Medical Specialist. The key deadline is May 24, 2024, at 5:00 PM Central Time, by which interested parties must submit a capabilities statement to substantiate their ability to provide the required services. The VA has sole discretion to determine whether to compete the contract based on the responses received, and if no viable responses are received, the VA will negotiate solely with Minnesota Medical Specialist.
