About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Veterans Integrated Service Network 23, is conducting market research to identify small businesses capable of providing CellaVision Services for the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. This Sources Sought Notice seeks vendors who can perform maintenance, repair, and software updates for a CellaVision DM1200 laboratory instrument under NAICS code 334516. Key contract requirements include having field service representatives trained by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and using only OEM parts for repairs and replacements. Potential contractors must submit a capability statement via electronic mail by April 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time to Contracting Officer Timothy Kimmel. The evaluation criteria will focus on the vendor's ability to provide comprehensive services, including their technical expertise, certifications, and experience with medical laboratory equipment.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, but the small business size standard is established at 1,000 employees. No incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. While no specific award value or budget range is provided, the scope of work includes annual preventive maintenance due in May and ongoing service support for the CellaVision equipment. Contractors will be evaluated on their socio-economic status, with special consideration potentially given to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), which will be verified through VetCert. The place of performance is located at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System at 4801 Veteran Drive in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and vendors will be required to demonstrate their capability to meet the technical and operational requirements outlined in the attached Statement of Work.
