About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6, acting on behalf of Richmond VAMC, is conducting market research to identify qualified businesses capable of providing annual preventive maintenance services for two Kobelco air compressors and two Quincy air dryers. This sources sought notice aims to determine the availability of contractors who can perform these specialized maintenance services for medical air equipment. Respondents must indicate whether they are small business manufacturers or resellers of small business manufacturers, provide capability statements, and specify if their services are available through existing government contracting vehicles such as SEWP, GSA, or ECAT. Additionally, contractors must submit an authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer to avoid being classified as grey market suppliers, which would disqualify them from consideration. All responses must be submitted in writing by September 7, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST to Cole.Culley@va.gov with the subject line "Sources Sought: Richmond VAMC Air Compressors/Dryers PM."

The solicitation notice does not identify any current incumbents or existing contractors providing these services to the Richmond VAMC. No specific award values, budget ranges, or contract duration details are provided in this market research phase, as the government is solely gathering information to inform their acquisition strategy. The scope involves maintenance services for a total of four pieces of equipment - specifically two air compressors and two air dryers - though the frequency and timeline for the annual preventive maintenance services are not detailed in this preliminary notice. The government emphasizes that this is strictly market research and will not assume any costs incurred by contractors in preparing their responses.
