About this opportunity

The United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) is seeking to procure 1,140 5-liter bottles of ivermectin pour-on solution for the Cattle Fever Tick Eradication Program (CFTEP) in Texas. The procurement is specifically for a veterinary treatment solution containing 5mg/ml of ivermectin, designed to treat cattle fever ticks on wildlife. This is a firm-fixed price commercial supply contract being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.5 simplified procedures for commercial items. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and will need to submit their quotes electronically to the contracting officer by February 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST. The solicitation emphasizes the need for a ready-to-use formulation with careful coordination of delivery due to the product's limited shelf life.

The contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting small business vendors for this procurement. The estimated delivery date is February 21, 2025, with FOB destination shipping to the USDA APHIS Veterinary Services location in Laredo, Texas (78041). While the specific award value is not explicitly stated, the procurement involves the purchase of 1,140 5-liter bottles of the ivermectin solution. The NAICS category is listed under Corn Farming (111150), and the Product Service Code (PSC) is categorized as Forage And Feed (8710). The procurement supports the broader mission of Veterinary Services to improve animal health, productivity, and quality of life while maintaining safety and availability of animal products.
