The procurement aims to acquire a unique storage solution designed to increase data storage capacity, improve dataset management, and enhance data processing and recovery operations. Specifically, the agency is seeking IT server equipment for production and disaster recovery clusters, including server chassis, storage drives, and associated hardware. The procurement will require a comprehensive solution with a five-year warranty and annual service plan. Potential vendors are invited to submit capability statements to john.l.fitzsimmons8.civ@health.mil by May 8, 2025, with the understanding that this is a market research initiative and not a formal solicitation.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations and does not reveal potential award values or budget ranges. The equipment requirements include two clusters, each comprising 4 F8X3 Turbo Chassis servers, with detailed specifications for storage configurations such as 60 Seagate Exos 16TB drives, Micron PRO5400 960GB drives, and Micron PRO7450 M.2 960GB drives. The procurement falls under NAICS category 518210 for Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services, and PSC category DK01 for IT and Telecom Storage Support Services.
