About this opportunity
NASA Ames Research Center is seeking to extend an existing sole source contract with KBR Wyle Services for research, development, and technology infusion support services supporting the Intelligent Systems Division. The services encompass a broad range of technical areas including robotics, data systems, machine learning, modeling, software development, aeronautics, urban air mobility, airspace management, mission operations, model analysis visualization, and systems integration. NASA intends to justify this sole source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1 and is issuing this pre-solicitation notice to determine whether other organizations possess the capabilities and qualifications to perform this work. Interested organizations must submit their capabilities and qualifications electronically to Contracting Officer Jeanne Chun at jeanne.s.chun@nasa.gov by 3:00 PM Pacific time on July 8, 2025. The government will evaluate these submissions solely to determine whether to conduct the acquisition on a competitive basis, though the final decision remains at the government's discretion.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and KBR Wyle Services is identified as the incumbent contractor holding the current ISRDS-3 contract (80ARC020D0010). The proposed extension would add an additional 24-month period of performance, structured as two 1-year option periods, to the existing hybrid contract arrangement. The current contract features Core Management and Core Technical components at the main level, plus an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery component under which Cost-Plus Fixed Fee task orders are executed with an eight-year ordering period. The extension would expand the total ordering period from eight to ten years, maintaining the same hybrid structure for continued support of NASA's intelligent systems research and development activities at Moffett Field, California.
