About this opportunity
The Department of Defense Washington Headquarters Service is seeking simultaneous interpretation services for the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center's Iraq General Officers Capstone program. The procurement requires two Arabic and two Kurdish interpreters, a program manager, and an AV technician to provide comprehensive interpretation support including live and Zoom interpretation, equipment setup and operation, and technical support. Key qualifications include interpreters with bachelor's degrees and certifications, experience with defense-related terminology, and at least three years of professional simultaneous interpreting experience. The contractor must also furnish extensive interpretation equipment including interpretation consoles, wireless headsets, microphones, laptops, and audio mixers. Performance evaluation will be based on interpretation quality, equipment management, and adherence to the interpretation schedule, with performance thresholds ranging from 94-99% depending on the specific metric. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable proposal that meets all contractual requirements, with proposals due by July 8, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 541930 for Translation and Interpretation Services. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed price arrangement with a total award amount of $22,500,000, though this appears to be a system-generated figure rather than the actual contract value. Services are required from July 18 to August 1, 2025, with no services needed on July 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2025. The place of performance includes Fort McNair, NESA Center, and the D.C./Virginia area, specifically Arlington, VA. Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov and agree to hold their pricing for 120 calendar days, with all proposals to be submitted electronically to specified email addresses along with required company information including CAGE Code, DUNS Number, and Tax ID.
