About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal is seeking a contractor to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter services for hearing-impaired employees at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) events. The services will support various activities including Employee Appreciation Day, Command Town Hall Meetings, training sessions, award ceremonies, meetings with the Equal Employment Opportunity Office and Depot Personnel Office, legal proceedings, law enforcement interviews, investigations, and employee counseling and performance appraisals with supervisors. The government will request services on an "as needed" basis with at least seven working days advance notice, and will provide event locations at least 24 hours prior to each event. This solicitation falls under NAICS code 541930 for Translation and Interpretation Services and PSC code R608 for Support-Administrative Translation and Interpreting. The solicitation was posted on August 27, 2025, with responses due by September 26, 2025.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. No information regarding potential incumbents, current contractors, award values, or budget ranges is provided in the solicitation notice. The primary place of performance will be at Anniston Army Depot, though services may occasionally be required at locations outside the depot within Calhoun County, Alabama. The contract appears to be structured as an indefinite delivery arrangement where the government will call for services as needed rather than following a predetermined schedule. The advance notice requirements suggest the contractor must maintain flexibility to respond to service requests within the specified timeframes while ensuring qualified ASL interpreters are available for the various types of events and proceedings outlined in the scope of work.
