About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command has published a Special Notice for an Intermittent Fault Detection & Isolation System (IFDIS) Avionics Evaluation & Repair requirement. The agency intends to award a sole source purchase order to Universal Synaptics (US) Corporation, the original equipment manufacturer that designed and custom-built the IFDIS test bench currently in use at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW).

The purpose of this Special Notice is to give notice of the government's intent to procure the requested services for the IFDIS test bench, including a full system checkout and reinstallation of the Operating System. The services are required to maintain the production quality of the IFDIS system. The government will consider capability statements from responsible sources received within 15 calendar days of the publication of this notice, but the determination to conduct a competitive procurement is solely at the discretion of the government. The requirement is set aside for 8(a) firms, and the point of contact is Kara Marie Ridgell.
