About this opportunity
The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), part of the Department of Justice, has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to Xerox Corporation for high-speed digital printing equipment lease and maintenance services. The notice, posted on August 20, 2025, with a response deadline of August 26, 2025, indicates that EOUSA will utilize the authority under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy the agency's requirements. This procurement involves leasing and maintaining specialized printing equipment including the Xerox Versant 280 Press, Xerox VS280STND, Xerox PRIMELINK B9125 Copier/printer, and Xerox Fiery Standalone Print Server, along with trading in existing leased Xerox equipment. The contract will include comprehensive maintenance services with stringent response time requirements and automatic consumables replenishment. The anticipated performance period consists of a base year plus four option years.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contracting community of EOUSA's intention to proceed with a non-competitive procurement while providing an opportunity for feedback before final award. The agency has established specific service requirements including one-hour estimated time of arrival for service calls available 24/7, with actual service delivery required within 24 hours of the initial service request. Any interested parties may submit information for government consideration within five days of the notice publication date by contacting Contracting Officer Bryant Gilbertson via email, though telephonic inquiries are discouraged. This is explicitly not a request for competitive quotations, and no Request for Quote will be issued for this requirement. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete this procurement action, and the notice serves primarily for informational purposes to ensure transparency in the federal contracting process.
