About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Antenna Repair to International Towers LLC. The contract opportunity, identified with a unique federal contract ID, was posted on May 14, 2025, with a response deadline of May 21, 2025. The procurement is being implemented under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), which allows for non-competitive awards when only one source is deemed capable of meeting the specific requirement. The notice pertains to the Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction NAICS category and involves Antennas, Waveguides, and Related Equipment. Although the contract is intended to be sole sourced, the government will still consider any quotes or capability statements received by the specified deadline.
Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their quotes or capability statements via email to two specified Air Force contact emails (tina.taylor.11@us.af.mil and priscilla.brown.5@us.af.mil) by 10:00 AM CST on May 21, 2025. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed contract based on responses received. While this is primarily a notice of intent to award to a single source (International Towers LLC), the Air Force is open to reviewing alternative submissions that demonstrate capability to perform the LMR Antenna Repair work. The notice emphasizes that this is not a formal request for competitive quotes, but rather an informational communication about a planned sole source procurement. Potential contractors should carefully review the attached government file (2025-15 SSJ Redacted.pdf) for additional details about the specific requirements and scope of the antenna repair contract.
