About this opportunity
The Minnesota Army National Guard issued a sole-source intent notice on August 25, 2026 for repair of a 2024 Kenworth T880 truck (VIN: 1XKZD49X9RJ375139) damaged in an accident; responses are due by August 31, 2026. The truck sustained front-end damage including suspension, body, and engine-related component failure. The procuring command requires repair by a Kenworth truck dealer using only original equipment parts due to the vehicle's Nuclear Certification status. AFI 63-125_angsup (effective 26 September 2024, page 12, section 4.7.1) mandates that any modification to a certified item be assessed in coordination with the original equipment manufacturer or design authority to evaluate impact. Additionally, DAFI 24-302, section 4.26, Note 3 requires precautions during repairs or modifications that could affect the vehicle's primary structure, electrical and hydraulic systems, load-bearing capacity (suspension), steering and braking capability, software, or positive control features, and compliance with AFMAN 91-118 design criteria. Only contractors meeting the Kenworth dealer requirement and capable of sourcing and installing OEM parts are eligible to respond.
