Notice text

Added: Sep 11, 2014 3:40 pm The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 4 - CGS, Atlanta, Georgia intends to negotiate a sole source procurement, in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 and 41 USC 253 (c) (1). The intent is to solicit a single source for the procurement of mammalian predator trapping services on the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), SC. The Cape Romain NWR is composed of a string of barrier islands separated from the mainland by salt marsh, creeks, and bays. The refuge is critically important for the northern nesting aggregation of loggerhead sea turtles as well as nesting seabirds and shorebirds. Mammalian predation can be managed by trapping of the nesting islands but must be done with care due to the sensitive nature of the work and the area, as well as the inaccessibility to the 8islands and effects of the tidal range. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intent is to sole source the requirement to the South Eastern Wildlife & Environmental Education (SEWEE) Association, Awendaw, SC. The North American Industry Classification System code is 611710 size standard $14M. The Universal Product Code for this procurement is F019. The purpose of this procurement is to procure the services for the mammalian predator trapping. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A FORMAL SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the e-mail address stated herein, Attn: Monica Faulk. Inquiries to this notice must be received by 2:00 pm Eastern Time on September 16, 2014. Please include your name, point of contact, address, area code, telephone number and facsimile number. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Inquiries can be e-mailed to monica_faulk@fws.gov. As a result of evaluating responses to this letter of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed in the future. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
